What the request does
The next batch stops
Any card already queued for that business is cancelled before it prints, and no new card is ever matched to it.
The public pages stop
The business comes off the pages on this site that list businesses that opened in an area. It is not shown again.
Every dashboard stops
The business disappears from the matched list every customer of ours sees. Nobody can mail it through us after that.
One thing it cannot do: recall a card that is already with the postal service. If a card was posted in the last few days it may still arrive, and it will be the last one.
Where the card came from, if you are wondering
The card is from a local business that sells to businesses like yours, and it carries their name, their logo and their phone number, not ours. What we do is read the public county, city and state business records that say a business has opened, and post that vendor's card the week it does.
Your business name and mailing address came from one of those public records — a business tax certificate, a licence or a permit. Nothing was bought from a list broker, no owner name was stored, and nothing about you personally is held. Where the records come from, in detail, and what is stored and what is not.
