Once your plan has started, you can have a front painted for your trade in your colours: choose one of five painted layouts, or tap “Design one for me” for a fresh one. Your own logo, number and QR code go in the band along the bottom, and nothing mails until you approve it.

Which design you start with

Create Postage picks a starting design from your photos and your trade, and you can switch to any other with one tap. Pattern band needs no photo at all. Hero photo places one photo and sets the offer large, which is why offices, attorneys, bookkeepers and other professional services start there. Photo mosaic needs two or three photos.

The 33 trades each come with photographs of the work and a list of ten offers written for that trade, so a card is complete before you upload anything.

The photographs

A card carries your own photo or one we supply. People in the photographs we supply are generic figures in scenes of your trade: never a real, named or identifiable person, and never presented as your staff, your premises or your result. A painted front follows the same rule.

Painted designs

A painted front is made for your card when you ask for one, from your trade, your colours and your offers. The art fills the card above a band in your colour, and the band carries your real logo file, your number in clear type, your website and a QR code that scans. Paintings are limited to a few a day per card. If a painting is not ready yet, or you turn it down, the card prints in a ready design instead, so it is never blank.

The three paintings on this page were made for invented businesses to show the style. Their names, numbers and towns are examples, not customers.

The back

The back is designed to match the front. It greets the business by name, says two short sentences from you, repeats your offer, and carries the same QR code and your number. The white panel on the right is left clear for the printer, which adds the address, the postage and the mail barcode there. No exclamation marks, and our name is not on either side.

Size and print

Every design prints at 6 by 9 inches, both sides in full colour, and mails first class. The pictures on this page are those print files at half size; click any one to open it full size.
